We hold to the orthodox truths of the Bible, which is the inspired, infallible and inerrant word of the living God. We believe that as men and women created by God we are to glorify him and enjoy him forever. We can only do this through Jesus Christ our Lord.   We hold the doctrines of grace as outlined in the Westminster Confession of Faith without modifications. Leaders in the church pledge to maintain, assert and defend the doctrines of the Bible as explained in this Confession.

We are Evangelical Christians who:

  • Believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible and inerrant word of God (2Tim 3:16). It is our authority in all matters of faith and life.
  • Believe in one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Mat 28:19).
  • We believe that God made the world out of nothing in six days and continues to sustain his creation (Gen 1, Heb 11:3).
  • Believe that all people are born in sin and commit sin (Rom 3:23).
  • Believe that death entered the world because of sin, and after death comes the judgment (Rom 5:12, 6:23).
  • Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was born of a woman and died on a cross outside Jerusalem (Gal 4:4).
  • Believe that Jesus’ death was the sacrifice that takes away the sin of those who believe in him (John 1:29, 2Cor 5:21).
  • Believe that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer, the only Mediator between God and man (1Tim 2:5).
  • Believe that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and ascended bodily into heaven, from where the Father sent the Holy Spirit in his name (Luke 24:6, Acts 1:9, John 14:26).
  • Believe in the resurrection of everyone who has ever lived.
  • Believe that Jesus will return from heaven to judge the living and the dead (Acts 1:11, 17:31).

We are Evangelical and Reformed who:

  • Believe that God is sovereign over all things in heaven and on earth.
  • Believe that God is sovereign in election.
  • Believe that God is sovereign in the preservation of the elect.
  • Believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone.
  • Believe in the doctrines of grace, rediscovered in the Reformation, and particularly as they have been handed down in writings of John Calvin.
  • Believe in God’s covenant of grace; ‘I will be your God and you will be my people’.

We are Evangelical, Reformed and Presbyterian

  • Christ is the head of our church.
  • Believers become members by profession of faith in Christ.
  • Our church is Presbyterian in government with elders and deacons overseeing the local congregation (Acts 15:6, Phil 1:1).
  • Our church is represented by elders in a Presbytery that includes other congregations, and in an annual Synod.
  • Our church welcomes sister relations with other Reformed Presbyterian churches.

Our worship

  • Our worship is simple and biblical, with preaching being central.
  • We read from the Bible, the New King James version, and hear a passage from the Bible explained and applied.
  • The minister leads us in prayer.
  • We sing the Psalms of the Bible a capella, without the aid of musical instruments.
  • We regularly share in the Lord’s Supper.
  • We practice infant and adult baptism.
  • Children are welcome in all our worship services.
  • We hold to the regulative principle of worship.
